Table Time

March 14, 2013 By Vidya 8 Comments

Ever since I refinished the chair I’ve been bitten by the ‘furniture makeover’ bug.  The chair was followed by the dresser and now……

Table Time

Remember the IKEA breakfast table from this post? We have been trying to find a replacement for it for sometime now. 2 Weeks ago I found this table on Craigslist for $80! It even has two leaves, which we are not going to use for now. What drew me to this table was the curvy base.

The plan is to redo it along the lines of this table from Little bits of Bliss.

A rich walnutty stain and an off white base. Hopefully I can use the left over chalk paint from the chair and dresser projects for the base. Will keep ya posted.

Have you tried your hand at furniture redos?

Great craigslist find! I love the paint/wood combo– my husband feels it’s too traditional, so I’ll just have to admire yours!

Nice! It’s gonna look great! Regarding chalk paint, have you ever tried the DIY kind? I’m loving it… plus it’s so handy to just whip up a batch!
