One Man’s Woman’s Trash is…………

July 16, 2013 By Vidya 3 Comments

My treasure;

One <strike> Mans</strike> Womans Trash is............

I think by now I’ve told you a million times about our local Facebook groups where folks in our neighborhood/county buy and sell things. The other day a neighbor posted that she had one to many pumpkin plants and was running out of space in her small vegetable bed and asked if anyone wanted a free plant. The plant was 4 ft long already and had many blooms even one that was starting to form a fruit. I jumped at the chance and took it even though I was not sure if it would survive a mid season transplanting. Viola, here she is spreading out under our deck.

One <strike> Mans</strike> Womans Trash is............

A week or so before this pumpkin episode again in one of those groups (this one was for crafters) some one posted about a free pallet. Her husband was on the brink of trashing it and I had a weekend to rescue it from the trash pile. Of course it came home with me! πŸ™‚

One <strike> Mans</strike> Womans Trash is............

Any guesses as to what I’m gonna do with it?

And there is this heap of free vintage lace, again from a neighbor down the street who got them from her family of seamstresses….Β

One <strike> Mans</strike> Womans Trash is............

Nah, not gonna reveal what’s on the charts for these guys. Something really fancy and cool at the same time. πŸ˜‰ Keep guessing.

Have you rescued anything from the trash pile? How did it feel?

Love this outdoor space with a beautiful red and blue outdoor decor with a flamingo pillow, metal tray side table, and loads of green plants

Finally the long overdue post, our new screened in porch reveal. This space has undoubtedly become our favorite room in the house now. To tell you the truth, I was against the idea of ripping apart our good size deck and replacing it with a screened in porch but B insisted that this was the…
