Nate Berkus @ Target

October 4, 2013 By Vidya 2 Comments

Please tell me I’m not the only one who hops into Target for a 5 min trip to buy a single item and ends up loitering around their home section. The other day, even before I parked the car in the Target parking lot for a quick trip to buy soccer shorts for my daughter I had made up my mind that I will only look at the kids section and nothing else and will be out of the store in no time. Naah….as soon as I found the shorts in the clearance aisle (and that too for $2.30!)  the eternal black hole that is their Home section sucked me in. There I was using my best blogger excuse, “Hey, I am in Target the least I can do for my readers is to check out the home section for them and of course take loads of pics to share.”

Yours truly reporting from the local Target in your average suburban NoVa strip mall;

“Mmmm….this is not what I expected this time of year. There is not much of orange or ‘falley’ stuff here. I see….well a bit of tribal, a bit of organic, a bit of……….What that….is that a cool looking  vertical Zig Zag basket?”

“Of course it is, it’s a Nate Berkus. And that gold sequinned band pillow? What a great way to make a Fall statement without screaming “FALL” from the top of your lungs!”

Nate Berkus @ Target

“It is like Target all of sudden went for muted glam! Geometric shaped seagrass vases anyone?”

Nate Berkus @ Target

“Wait, I think I spotted something that might not be part of the NB collection, a gold tiered tapered candle holder. With this beauty at the center of your table you really do not need a centerpiece this holiday season. What a clean yet elegant idea! And the master mind behind this treat? Nate of course!”

“Ok, I get the point, Nate Berkus makes all the fabulous home decor goodies at Target! Take this red and gold octagonal mirror for example. He nailed me just about one hundred percent with this one. Favorite color, red √ Geometric shape √ Gold Love √.”

Nate Berkus @ Target

“I’m going nuts with all this awesomeness around me. Speaking of nuts, how are these oversized gold nut figurals?”

Nate Berkus @ Target

“That’s it folks, stylish home decor @ Target = Nate Berkus and if you are wondering whether I ended up getting the nut figurals on clearance, nope. Remember I went in with the ‘1 item rule’? Maybe some other time. But if you want to ring in Fall the understated way then rush to your nearest Target as a few of the pieces like the mirror are on clearance. I’m off to my next assignment, the Home Talk Halloween Hunt. See you back here Monday same time same place!”

Any other Nate Berkus groupies around here?

Love this outdoor space with a beautiful red and blue outdoor decor with a flamingo pillow, metal tray side table, and loads of green plants

Finally the long overdue post, our new screened in porch reveal. This space has undoubtedly become our favorite room in the house now. To tell you the truth, I was against the idea of ripping apart our good size deck and replacing it with a screened in porch but B insisted that this was the…
